Adafruit FONA 808 Cellular & GPS Shield

Adafruit FONA 808 Cellular and GPS Shield adds location tracking, voice, text/SMS, and data to an existing project. The FONA uses the SIM808 module for cellular connectivity and can connect to any global GSM network with any 2G SIM. GPS is available via the MT3336 chipset and can be controlled over the serial connection. Onboard LiPo battery charging circuitry is available to recharge a connected battery.

  • Make and receive voice calls using a headset or an external 32O speaker + electret microphone

  • Send and receive GPRS data (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.)
  • PWM/Buzzer vibrational motor control
  • AT command interface with "auto baud" detection
  • Onboard LiPoly battery charging circuitry. Two indication LEDs display the charging status.
