Analog Devices Inc. DC2190A Demo Board for LTC3892 Buck Controller
Analog Devices DC2190A Demonstration Boards help designers evaluate the performance of the LTC3892EFE-1 Buck Controller. The DC2190A Demonstration Boards feature the Demonstration Circuit 2190A with the LTC3892EFE-1 Buck Controller. This demonstration circuit is designed as a high-output voltage, high-efficiency synchronous PolyPhase® buck converter. The Analog Devices demo circuit can detect an inductor current using a sense resistor or an optional DCR sense circuit. The optional DCR sense circuit enables the inductor's DCR to be used as the current sensing element to reduce the design footprint and improve efficiency.Demonstration Circuit 2190A is available in two versions that operate from 16V to 55V. The DC2190A-A is configured using two LTC3892EFE-1 devices with 4-phase interleaving operation, providing a 12V/60A output. The DC2190A-B is configured using one LTC3892EFE-1 device with 2-phase interleaving operation and provides a 12V/30A output. Both boards include a mode-selection jumper that allows the converter to run in forced CCM mode, pulse-skip mode, or Burst ModeĀ® operation. DC2190A Demonstration Boards also enable synchronization to an external clock with a frequency range of 100kHz to 300kHz.
