Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated MAX9276A & MAX9280A Coax Evaluation Kits

Analog Devices MAX9276A and MAX9280A Coax Evaluation Kits provide a demonstration and development platform for the MAX9276A and MAX9280A 3.12Gbps GMSL (Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link) Deserializers. The MAX9276A and MAX9280A receive data from a GMSL serializer over 50Ω coax or 100Ω Shielded Twisted-Pair (STP) cable. Output deserialized data is received on the LVCMOS outputs. The MAX9280A has HDCP content protection but otherwise is the same as the MAX9276A.

The Analog Devices MAX9276A and MAX9280A Coax Evaluation Kits each feature a pre-installed MAX9276A or MAX9280A Deserializer. The Evaluation Kits also include Microsoft Windows-compatible software that provides a simple Graphical User Interface (GUI) for exercising the features of the device.

For complete GMSL evaluation using a standard FAKRA coaxial cable, the user will need the companion Serializer Board (either MAX9275COAXEVKIT# or MAX9279COAXEVKIT#). For evaluating with an STP cable, the user will also need the MAXCOAX2STP-HSD Adapter Kit Only one adapter kit is required per link, connecting the Serializer and Deserializer (SerDes) boards.
